Architect and historian Alan Hess joins our podcast to discuss his contributions to MICHIGAN MODERN: DESIGN THAT SHAPED AMERICA, Gibbs Smith, 2016. He has made a career publishing in mid century modernism, authoring nineteen books, on subjects such as Palm Springs, Las Vegas, and the Ranch House. A columnist for "The Architects Newspaper" and the "San Jose Mercury," he is a Graham Foundation recipient and National Fellow in Arts Journalism.
