INTERVIEW WITH AUTHOR PETER NEWMAN
Academic and activist Peter Newman joins our podcast to discuss his latest books THE END OF AUTOMOBILE DEPENDENCE and the revised RESILIENT CITIES. Part 2, Taking Back Our Streets
Peter Newman: “The process of trying to change the paradigm of thinking that the best thing you can do for cities is to build freeways and sprawl the city further and further out, that has been under attack now for some time, particularly from grass-roots activists, who knew there was something wrong, like Jane Jacobs, she didn’t quite understand it, but she knew it was wrong.”
