Academic and activist Peter Newman joins our podcast to discuss his latest books THE END OF AUTOMOBILE DEPENDENCE and the revised RESILIENT CITIES. He is currently a professor at Curtin University in Australia. He has taught at premiere American universities such as Stanford, University of Pennsylvania, and University of Virginia. A  life-long activist in sustainability, he has been credited with inventing the term “automobile dependence” and has tracked the peak of car use. He is a Fulbright Scholar, and Guest Speaker for the Rockefeller Foundation’s 100 Resilient Cities.
